When does the assistant act on its own?

It handles routine, reversible things quietly and asks you first before anything sensitive, hard to undo, or outside a permission you've granted. The safe default always wins: when in doubt, it asks.

The whole point of a delegate is to reduce what you have to attend to, so it defaults to handling rather than surfacing — but it never trades away your control. Anything sensitive or irreversible is presented to you as an approval before it happens, and everything it does is written to your Activity Log.
